Will the osteopath ‘crack’ my back?
The technique which makes the ‘cracking’ noise can be particularly effective. It is not always the treatment that is appropriate for your condition. Even if it is, you can choose not to have this approach. Just let the osteopath know, and they will work around it.
Are treatments covered by my Health Insurance?
Most policies cover osteopathy, and you can self refer (come directly to us). Several of our practitioners are registered with BUPA & PPP (see ‘meet the team’). You will normally need to be referred by your GP for BUPA & PPP to qualify.
Our best advice however is to always check with your provider if in doubt.
Do I have to see my GP?
No, you do not have to see your GP (unless you need referral under the terms of your health insurance). We would always recommend you let your Doctor know you have been to see us when you next visit them. We would not write to your GP ourselves except in
special circumstances, which would be fully discussed with you beforehand.
Are gift vouchers available?
Yes, they can be purchased onsite or by post, either for a specified amount or a particular treatment.
